You guys. I had the BEST baby shower thrown by my sweet & totally creative friends last weekend. It was amazing! They thought of the cutest theme...Baby in the Big Apple (since we'll be moving to New York in June) and went crazy with it. Everything turned out wonderfully and it was so nice to celebrate the babe coming soon! Thanks a million to Sarah, Bekah, Taisja & Jana.

The girls did such a great job on the food. All of the foods are from famous New York bakeries & eateries. :) Such a cute idea...I about died!

My cute friend Kristen from high school who lives in Dublin now with her husband came all the way to SF for the shower...it was so fun to catch up with her! She's 15 weeks pregnant too! (I don't know what I'm doing in this picture, hehe!) (Jana's photo)

Dan's Grandma Porter, Aunt Patti & Cousin Michelle all came from Sunnyvale - so sweet! It was wonderful to have them there.
Ok. Now the games. We did a little questionnaire where everyone guessed which features our baby will have - me or Dan. Then Sarah handed out tons of 4x6 close-up photos of me & Dan, and everyone got together into groups and cut up the pictures to morph our features to make baby predictions! Kristen, Melissa & Jana:

Let me tell you...it was WEIRD!!!
So funny...seriously the best game ever...I loved it! Sarah made sure our faces were the same size in all the photos so they actually looked kind of proportionate - which made for hilarious end results.

DIANA!!!!!!!! Are. you. flipping. kidding me. What the, this is AMAZING!? Oh my gosh I am dying I couldn't make it! I wish I could've been there! Please please tell me they used copycat recipes for the food - they had to - there's no way you could get REAL NY food to SF without paying an astronomical amount. But where do you find copycat recipes for famous foods? I swear there is something I don't know here, I feel kind of dumb. Haha!
LOVE the first photo! Oh my CUTENESS. The invite? PERFECTION. LOVE it. The game? Soooo hilarious. I HAVE to use that at a baby shower someday! And hydrangeas are my favorite flower!

Absolutely, amazing! You truly do have some talented friends. Where in NY are you moving? We are supposed to be moving there any day now. (Well, as soon as this silly NFL lockout gets cleared up). We are going to live in New Jersey since it's a bit more family friendly (we will be right across the river from NYC). Are you excited to be an East Coaster?!
How amazingly awesome! I wish I could have been there!! The photo game is genius. Love that one! All of the food sounds divine. And the people sound even better. I miss all of you!
